I wrote you 365 letters!
Yesterday, I studied for a whopping 8 1/2 hours, so I treated myself with an evening at In the Raw, a lot of sake with Margot, Sara, Andie and Matt. When I got home (early at 11:30), I decided to watch The Notebook, which is one of my all time favorite movies. Note to self: only watch that movie sober. I was bawling...even at the scenes between the old people.
This morning we had our first of two Evidence lectures and I don't think anyone is liking our lecturer. She's awful...all over the place and not easy to understand. But at least she gets the shit done, instead of going off on 10 minute tangents about Justin Timberlake.

The thing that makes me feel better about myself...
...is probably the thing that will eventually kill me. (My little addition to this interesting compilation of quotes).

From Kitchen Stadium...
I think I'm in love with Iron Chef Bobby Flay...the way he worked those cowboy ribeyes tonight...damn! But seriously, I've had a crush on him for, well, ever since I first saw him.

Cheesy photo...I know.

Am I 14?
I don't know if it's studying for the bar exam or something else, but lately I've been watching the dumbest 14 year old girl Disney movies. Today I watched (and loved):

And I can't wait till ABC Family starts playing this:

Monday = Miss Universe 2007
My Post-Prelim/Pre-Final Top 15
My Top Five

USA
I have to have her as my winner because she's adorable, exotic, great body and so sweet, and I can't remember another Miss USA who was a better fit for Universe.
Bolivia
One of my favorites from the very beginning, I like her curves and she has a gorgeous face.
Mexico
Love love love her face and she seems very spunky and intelligent after hearing her interviews. Also, we all know the Mexican fans are obnoxious and rude, but let's not blame their contestant.
Denmark
This is my underdog that I hope goes far this year. Her face is so unique and I'm loving her new dress.
South Africa
Have to put a blonde in top 5. I think what I like about her is that she's blonde but still has miss universe appeal, which is very rare. And her dress is my favorite.
My Top Ten

Spain
I like her gown change and I really think it's her smile and her interview that made me a fan.
Guatemala
I just love this girls' face, not a huge fan of the dress, but still, just beautiful.
Dominican Republic
She wasn't one of my favorites at first, but wow...that dress!
Nicaragua
Her new dress is nice, but I'm not crazy about it. Good color though...I'm loving all the color in this year's pageant. Pretty girl, great body.
Brazil
I'm loving her new dress and she's got an exotic and flawless look to her.
My Top Fifteen

Honduras
This girl has major universe appeal, but I'm not liking the orange dress on her skin...but I hope to see her in top 15.
Panama
I've liked her since the beginning. Her and USA probably look like they are the youngest in the competition, but a couple of the prettiest.
Venezuela
Another exotic beauty...America, North and South, will dominate this year.
India
Very beautiful and definitely exotic, but I've seen some bad pictures, so I'm not sure if she's very consistently photogenic.
Serbia
Gorgeous blonde, and I love her gown...only problem is she looks a bit older than most of the contestants in my opinion.
Bubble:
Japan - I don't like her gown change and her interview was iffy, but still a gorgeous girl and I wish she would change her gown back.
Thailand - It's her new dress that caught my eye, but she's been a wallflower to me from the beginning.
Greece - Not a girl that I've seen much appeal in from the start, but she seems to appeal to most people, and I do love how different her dress is, in a good way.

PoPo Wake Up Call
I wasn't planning on going out last night, but after having a few martinis at PF Changs to celebrate Dennis' new job with Jackie and Leighton, I decided to seize the evening. So Leighton and I went to Another Round, had more drinks and a jager bomb. Next thing I know, I'm waking up this morning, with my clothes from last night still on, to a Tulsa police officer knocking on my door. Next thought: "shit! what the hell did I do last night?" He politely asks me my name and tells me that they received a phone call from my mom hysterically worried about me. After he left, I looked at my phone...18 missed calls. I looked at my computer...emails from mom.
I called her and calmed her down. I honestly don't know how the phone didn't wake me up, it was right next to me and I always wake up to phone calls. Oh well, I gave my mom some of my friends' phone numbers so that if it happens again, she can call one of them, not the police. But last night was a lot of fun and it was great hanging out with Leighton, who I hadn't seen in 6 years.
Oh and I'm so sad that I'm missing Midget Wrestling at the Wild Horse Saloon tonight :( Boo.
Here's Leighton and I last time I saw him: My debutant ball.

Thou Shall Destroy All Sex Tapes
So, I was talking to some lawyers today about an interesting case that just ended, and this is how it goes:
Boyfriend and girlfriend make a sex tape accompanied with naughty pictures. Girlfriend breaks up with boyfriend. BF becomes a psycho and doesn't stop calling GF. GF tells him she never wants to talk to him again. BF says "if you stop talking to me, I'll mail our tape and pictures to your family". GF changes her phone number and stops talking to BF. BF mails video and pictures to family. GF gets a lawyer.
GF sues BF for the tort of public disclosure of private facts and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Family of GF sued BF for intentional infliction of emotional distress as well. Jury came back with a guilty verdict for public disclosure of private facts and iied for GF and family and awarded damages in the amount of $60,000 including punitive damages.
GF also had contacted the district attorney and police department and informed them of BF's conduct. After an investigation, he was charged with stalking and extortion (blackmail). BF waived his right to a jury trial and plead out. Today he started his 6 year prison sentence.
Haha...stupid ass. Wait till his rapist, murderer and drug traffiking cell mates find out that he's there for being a pathetic, desperate loser...

Goodbye Fun
Tonight was my first really serious night of bar review. I've been outlining and all, but tonight, I had an assignment and I actually finished it for tomorrow. It took close to 4 HOURS. And I picked up by Barbri books today, wow. I have a goal of getting through them all, but I doubt that many have actually achieved that before. Anyhoo, now I'm catching up on my tv a bit, just watching the season finale of The Bachelor.
Oh yes, and even though I never found the time to work out today, between running errands, work, barbri and my 4 hour assignment, day one of my diet went pretty well. I'll make up the exercise tomorrow. I plan to bike to barbri in the morning and getting back to my house, there's quite a hill, AND I will have many heavy books on my back. Go buns of steel go!

Saturday, May 12
When did I become an adult, and how do I make it stop?
1. Tomorrow marks a big change in my life: Barbri begins. I will force myself to get into a routine of attending bar review in the morning, going to work in the afternoon, working out immediately after work and then going home to read about miscellaneous subjects to appear on the bar exam. I hope to spend less money, work out more, and eat less crap. Since I finished exams, I've been drinking too much, sleeping too much and eating too much...it's time for a change.
2. I've decided not to make any career decisions until I've actually passed the bar exam. So, if that means that an offer might lapse, then, well, it obviously wasn't meant to be. I'd rather wait and see what comes my way in the coming months and plus, people are much more likely to offer me a job if I'm actually licensed.
3. I loved the Desperate Housewives finale tonight. The whole family theme at the end and having Bree back on the show makes me happy. I can't believe that Edie hung herself, what a shocking event?! I thought it was very romantic that Susan had the surprise wedding for Mike and I loved that politician guy ended up being an ass and caused Gabrielle to turn to Carlos. Can't wait till next season.
4. As for Grey's Anatomy, I didn't much like it. I was confused by Christina's reaction at the end. It made me sad that Izzy was left in the church waiting. What the f was up with Calliope getting the job over Dr. Bailey. And what's with McDreamy turning down his job...weirdo. I also am not a fan of the whole Meredith's sister thing. She's a cute girl and probably a lot less annoying than Meredith, but did they have to make her Meredith's sister? Also, what other show/movie is she from, she looks so familiar.
5. Saturday, I officially placed a moratorium on men. I've had a string of a-holes come in and out of my life in the past year, and I've about had it. And I figure if I take a nice long break now, I might actually save myself from completely cutting men out at a later point in my life. I need a break, and while studying for the bar, I think it's the best opportunity. Also, on a funny note, the guy who pissed me off this past week for several reasons (ripping me off, leaving me behind at the bar etc etc), I randomly came across him on this funny/useful website called "Don't Date Him Girl". Creepy...
6. My friend Carrie came into town this weekend and we had a blast (pictures to come). Wednesday night, we posed with penguins and geese and I got slightly injured while attempting to rock climb. Thursday we took the night off and watched Thursday night TV. Friday we got sushi and lots of free shots/drinks at Another Round and well, did some other naughty things ;) Saturday we had a girls night in and played Edward Forty Hands - where you duct tape forties to your hands and you can't remove them until both of them are empty. Throughout the course of the weekend, Carrie and I also made a myspace page paralelling what I can only describe as the most pathetic attempt at romance ever.
7. There is an awesome movie coming out sometime in the near future called "A Lawyer Walks Into A Bar". It follows 6 people who are trying to pass the bar exam AND it also kind of takes the style of a documentary like Morgan Spurlock's McDonald's flick, I forget what it's called.
8. So You Think You Can Dance starts this week, and I CANNOT wait. It will probably be the only show I really watch this Summer, which is good, because I really shouldn't watch too much TV.
9. American Idol season finale is this Wednesday and I will absolutely DIE if Jordin doesn't win. I can't stand Blake...seriously, stop raping every popular song by beatboxing halfway through it.
10. The Bachelor season finale is tomorrow. There's part of me that wants Bevin to win, because I can't stand her and I can't stand Andy so I think they are perfect for eachother, and I actually like Tessa, but I would be very supportive of Tessa winning if she were to shoot Andy down in his proposal. SPOILER ALERT!!! I heard that Tessa is going to win, but who knows...we'll see tomorrow night.
11. The Office season finale was on Thursday and I loved it! Dwight's entire power trip was great from beginning to end and I almost got tears in my eyes when Jim asked Pam on a date. My prediction is that Karen gets the corporate job and is off the show except for random appearances.
12. Scrubs season finale was alright. I hated how JD was hot-cold-hot-cold when it came to his baby-momma, but she did do something pretty shitty. And I really like the dudemeister for Elliot, I think they are taking the whole JD/Elliot thing to an unhealthy Ross/Rachel level. Another show I'm interested in seeing where the writers take it.

Idol Judges
"You know dawg...it was a little pitchy in some places, it was aight, but man, I just wasn't jumpin' out of my chair, you know dude?"
"Don't forget to bring a towel"
"I think what Paula was attempting to say was, wrong song choice, wrong pitch, wrong outfit, I think you might be going home tomorrow"
I've been busy.
1. I'm going to do this Jackie-style.
2. Saturday, I graduated law school. Graduation was long and boring (5 speakers people). Sara and I were a little toasted, so it wasn't as bad as it could've been. Dean Butkin said "I wish you all great sex" instead of success, and then the lights went out, and then some 4 year old give vomited all over the programs. It was eventful.
3. A couple of hours before my graduation, I was offered a job, a real one. And since then, I have decided to accept it. So yay! I feel like I should be more excited, but really, the whole graduating thing and job thing, it's not going to really hit me for a while.
4. Several hours before graduation, I woke up to discover that I had made a damn fool of myself - for those of you who are close to me, you know what I'm talking about. I think that it was, by far, the funniest and most embarassing thing I've done since I've been in law school.
5. It's been raining...a lot. And I mean, it hasn't stopped raining since Sunday and it's not suppose to stop any time in the near future. I feel gross because I'm damp everywhere I go and, while I love storms and rain, it's starting to get pretty depressing.
6. Bar review has begun. It's exciting to learn something other than native american law, yet, scary considering the amount of information we are learning in the span of 11 weeks. I will definitely be blogging about that for the next couple of months. Stay tuned.
7. The spinoff of Grey's Anatomy looks so damn dumb. It's like, let's sit around and tease everyone about what huge whores they are, because it's a funny, and not completely outdated story line to have a bunch of doctors who all sleep with eachother. Sorry, I love Addison Montgomery, but really? I won't be watching this.
8. American Idol - I am now completely faithful to Jordin Sparks. Melinda is starting to sound too old for my taste, even though I still love her. Blake annoys the crap out of me, but I think that's unfair to him, because he reminds me of my ex-boyfriend. But really, Tuesday's performance was awful. And well, Lakisha is already home, but I would have booted Blake over her.
9. I finally replaced my mini-tramp that was broken during a final exam celebration with Rob and Megan - so I'm going to start working out on that again and hopefully I won't have to go get a gym membership.
10. Miss Universe is in full force right now so if you're interested, I'm routing for USA, Bolivia, Mexico and South Africa. There are others, but those are my favorites. I will be talking more about this closer to the pageant on May 25th.
